Next week, the Westwood Neighborhood Council has an item on its agenda to oppose Metro’s proposal to put bike lanes on Westwood Bl. between Wellworth (just south of Wilshire) and the UCLA campus, as part of the first mile/last mile plan for the Purple Line extension.

This neighborhood council has a history of opposing logical and safe steps to make alternative forms of transportation safe and reliable in Westwood. Furthermore, this section of Westwood Bl isn’t even in Westwood NC’s district - it’s in North Westwood NC’s district, which overwhelmingly supports the bike lanes.

Please show up and give public comment in support of Westwood Bl. bike lanes. And be sure to mention that they’re voting on something that’s not even in their district. Paul Koretz himself will be at this meeting, so it’s critical that he hears more from those in favor than those opposed.
